Guides

Longer reads on how digital nomad visas actually work — what a nomad visa adds over a tourist stay, how taxes attach to a move, how much income the main programs really require, and how to run an application without the mistakes that stall them. Every guide is written by Elias Verne and follows the same rule as the rest of this site: guidance and comparison live here, but the hard numbers — income floors, durations, fees — stay on the sourced country pages, where each figure links to its official source and shows the date we last checked it.

That split matters because visa guidance ages badly. An article can explain how a program works for years; the numbers inside it go stale in months. By keeping the figures in the dated country records and linking to them, these guides stay honest without pretending a number written last spring is still the law. When a re-verification pass changes something material, we publish it as an update below rather than silently rewriting history. If you are choosing a country, start with the eligibility checker and come back here for the how and the why.
